We are proud to announce we are one of the sponsers of the We the Dogs DC 2nd annual Bipawtisan March in Washington D.C. The event is this Sunday, September 23, 2018. The goal of the Bipawtisan March is to bring the community together as animal lovers and advocates. Our mission is to show that a group of individuals from different political and ideological backgrounds can come together and find common ground on a position that we all support: our pets. Attendees are encouraged to bring family-friendly signs and wear costumes to show “Why I March.” 100% of each tax-deductible registration fee will be donated to local animal rescue organizations selected by the event participants.

This week Chancery Station, a townhome in Reston, went under contract after only one weekend on the market. Congrats to our seller! Richland Lane in Oak Hill went to settlement, we wish our sellers many years of happiness as they move on into a new home. We have two homes in Centreville and one in Oak Hill in our line up for the next few weeks, stay tuned!

Featured Lucky Dog 🍀 of the Month!Meet Paisley! She is such a good looking 1.5 year old gal with a great demeanor-there is no way you can pass her up! Paisley is very welcome and sweet. She and her foster brother Mason bonded quickly and love to play. Paisley is a champion ball retriever and treasures all her toys, especially chewy bones. She is learning commands quickly, including ‘sit-wait’ for her food and ‘go home’ for her crate. Mostly though she just wants to be with you all the time – she loves a good cuddle and having her ears rubbed. She has been a little nervous at weekend events but is super friendly with everyone she meets in my neighborhood. She will be a fantastic member for any family!

Market Recovers in April

The first quarter of 2018 was not kind to the real estate market in northern Virginia. The market was down 6% compared to sales from 2017. Oak Hill and Fairfax Station were the big winners in the 1st quarter with 80% of the markets in the red.  Sales in April were down an average of only 3% with 1/2 of the markets now in the green over 2017. Fairfax Station remained strong along with Great Falls and McLean. Rising interest rates, low inventory and skittish buyers are identified as the cause of the soft market. The news is no better for the new home market, which is down 23% year to date from 2017.
